Get booked on the Live Zoom

It is essential to click "book my spot" for the Zoom Class to ensure you have a place reserved in the next available live workshop. Once you have received email confirmation that your spot is booked, that email will include the zoom link for the live class and you will also receive email reminders one day and one hour before the live event. You can also just come back to this page and click on the Workshop at the allotted time.

Getting into the live Zoom Class

If you click early on the link, you will go to a waiting area. As long as you have pre-booked your spot, when the time comes for the Zoom meeting to start, it will start in that window and you should go straight into the meeting (but check at the time in case you need to click "enter meeting" to go in).

Preparing for the Zoom Class

I always say to anyone who is going to do some tapping to have some tissues and a glass of water to hand - it works best when you are well hydrated. Make sure you have a quiet space without interruptions, ensuring you can be fully present and make the most from your investment. Please ensure no-one around you is able to listen in, for reasons of confidentiality.

In the Zoom Class - what to expect

There will be a group of anything between one and fifteen people, some of whom have done some EFT before, some of whom are completely new to EFT Tapping.

We will:-

1. start with ensuring everyone knows the relevant zoom functions;
2. then a demonstration of tapping point locations and explanation of the difference between set-up and reminder statements.

The workshop is virtually 100% practical hands-on tapping. You will have the opportunity to learn and experience how to tap to reduce the intensity of:-

tension or physical pain
an unwanted emotion (eg feeling anxious/ fearful / sad / angry or frustrated)
a bothersome craving (prequel to breaking addiction or habit)
how to tap away some intensity of feeling from a bothersome specific past event (this technique is taught in much more detail if you continue on to the 8-session EFT Level 1&2 course - when fully learned and practiced effectively, this technique results in the emotional charge on a past bothersome event being completely neutralised or erased.

And you will be able to ask questions as we go.

During the meeting you will be able to communicate by speaking, messaging all participants via the chat function or messaging me privately via the chat. You can also send me a brief email (jacqui@eftdevon.co.uk) before the live class if you would prefer this method of communicating something you would like me to know in advance.

To participate in this live Zoom tapping class, you need to undertake to respond with kindness, compassion and non-judgement to anything anyone present says and respect the need for confidentiality – anything mentioned by other participants during the session may not be repeated once you have left the Zoom meeting (except of course any practical information learned about how to use EFT). You need also to be in a position to undertake responsibility for your own emotional welfare throughout, using the EFT Tapping as demonstrated and as explained within the tapping basics leaflet and/or recommended literature.

However please be aware that this introductory workshop is conceived as group-based self-help education and demonstration and if issues come up for you that need further work, such work would likely be one-to-one and chargeable (as detailed here: https://eftdevon.co.uk/working-with-me/) or you may choose to undertake further training and then swap sessions with a fellow student.
